Governor of Hong Kong informed me on October 23 that no

munitions from British sources had passed through Hong Kong to

China since the outbreak of hotilities.

In view of constant allegations to the contrary it would be most useful if I could discrectly obtain publicity for this

fact. Do you see any objection?
